More Information

What is so special about this seed mix? Each seed in the blend was selected specially for the dietary needs of our Australian Finches. These finches include; Zebras, Gouldians, Owls, Shafttails, Stars and many more.

Each seed in this mix was hand selected to be nutritionally beneficial without the waste you see in commercial seed mixes. I designed this diet to be as complete as possible but I always recommend you supplement any seed diet with soft foods and greens.

This blend contains a little extra protein (very small amount), amino acids various trace minerals, calcium and more goodies designed to give the Australian Finch the basic diet it truly needs.

Received the Australian Blend birdseed today and BOY were Milo and Morty lovin' it! Thanks! -Teri Ganley
Bobby Bird loves the seed compared to what he was getting. I see him eating it more often. - Melissa

The Australian mix contains: White Millet, Golden German Millet, Canary Seed, Red Millet, Flaxseed, Thistle, Oat Groats + special mix of minerals and nutritious additives. It does contain a trace amount of charcoal to help clean the gut every now and then. This will result in a few very dark droppings from time to time.

Available: 3lb & 6lb

After years of people asking me "what do you feed your finches" I finally decided to share my finch seed mix with all of you.

I got tired of store bought finch mixes years ago. A lot of it went to waste because my finches didn't like it. The colored bits were little more that oat groats with food coloring added which makes the droppings turn funny colors. To top it all off, once I started looking at what was in each mix I realized most of my finches weren't getting what they needed.

So I started my own blending and experimenting with my own flock and this blend is the result.
