Antibiotics

Finches can and do get sick from time to time. Now you can handle your finches health matters at home.

The use of antibiotics should always be a last resort option unless you know or strongly believe that infection is indeed caused by bacteria. The over use of antibiotics can result in drug-resistant strains of the bacteria to develop in your aviary. Anytime you administer any type of medication (this includes antibiotics) you should discontinue use of any other dietary supplements. Some vitamin and mineral supplements may render the antibiotic ineffective or react with the antibiotic leading to more illness and/or organ damage.

Cocci-care

For the treatment of Coccidiosis in Birds

Coccidiosis is the name given to a group of closely related diseases caused by a protozoan parasite called Eimeria. The Eimeria develop inside cells lining the intestine. As the parasites reproduce they cause bleeding and massive swelling of the gut. This leads to a huge loss of liquid and the bird is unable to absorb the nutrients from its food.

Ronex

No one likes to admit it but Protozoal Diseases do happen. They seem to sneak in every now and then when new birds are introduced to the flock. Once one bird has them they have all been exposed. These infections can decimate offspring and adult populations very quickly.

Ronex is effective against motile protozoa such as Trichomonas, Hexamita, Giardia, and Cochlosoma in birds (budgies, pigeons and canaries) suffering from canker (trichomoniasis) or other protozoal diseases eg. Cochlosoma in finches.

Avi-Culturetm Probiotic

When birds are given antibiotics to treat illness the antibiotics work to kill the good and the bad bacteria in their systems. That is simply the way those medications work. While it kills the infection it also severely weakens the bird in the process.

As you know we need the good bacteria in our system to maintain a healthy life, the same hold true for our feathered friends. This product helps to re establish those good bacteria and microbes within your bird which in turn aid in the healing process.

Please use this product carefully and read the instructions before administering it to your birds.
